Diagnosis-specific foundations
Amputee Coalition
Peer support, prosthetic-care navigation, and advocacy for people living with limb loss.
The Amputee Coalition operates the National Limb Loss Resource Center — a free helpline and online library covering prosthetics, peer visitor programs (newly-amputated-patient mentoring), insurance advocacy (particularly state laws mandating prosthetic parity), and Limb Loss Task Force state advocacy. Youth Camp, military-specific peer network, and wound-care resources also available.
