Diagnosis-specific foundations
CDC National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP)
Free breast and cervical cancer screening for low-income uninsured and underinsured women nationwide.
The CDC NBCCEDP funds every U.S. state, DC, and several territories and tribes to provide free or low-cost mammograms, Pap tests, HPV tests, pelvic exams, and diagnostic follow-up (biopsy, colposcopy) to uninsured and underinsured women ages 21-64 with income generally ≤250% FPL. Patients diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer through NBCCEDP become eligible for Medicaid treatment coverage via the Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention and Treatment Act (BCCPTA).
