Sliding-scale clinics
HRSA-Funded Health Centers (FQHCs)
Federally funded community health centers providing primary care on a sliding fee scale based on ability to pay.
HRSA-funded health centers serve over 30 million patients nationwide. They provide comprehensive primary care services regardless of ability to pay, using a sliding fee scale based on income. Services include medical, dental, mental health, and substance use treatment.
Who qualifies
A quick look at who this program is designed to help.
Open to everyone regardless of insurance status, ability to pay, or immigration status. FQHCs must serve all patients. Fees are determined on a sliding fee scale based on household income: patients at or below 100% FPL receive services at nominal or no charge. No one is turned away.
