The National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (formerly the National Hemophilia Foundation) operates the Steps for Living patient-education program, HANDI information center, and an emergency assistance fund for people with hemophilia A/B, von Willebrand disease, and rare factor deficiencies. Also accredits the national network of hemophilia treatment centers (HTCs).
